Sunk ferry terminal at Pier Head
River levels dropped causing part of the floating landing stage to fall
Ferry services across the River Mersey, which were stopped after the landing stage sank in bad weather, will be resumed on Thursday.
Operator Merseytravel has been in talks with the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company to allow the Mersey ferries to share the Manx terminal in Liverpool.
The ferries will now operate from the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company pontoon, next to the Pier Head.
Merseytravel said the Manx ferry firm had "pulled out all the stops".
'Pulled out stops'
Neil Scales, chief executive and director general of Merseytravel, said: "We are extremely grateful to the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company for their assistance.
"Obviously this is a temporary measure until the Mersey Docks and Harbour Company has replaced our pontoon but it was imperative that we resume services as quickly as possible for commuters.
"The Steam Packet Company have pulled out all the stops".
River levels dropped last week causing part of the floating landing stage to fall into the water.
Later in the day, the rest of the stage disappeared into the Mersey.
Cruise services continued to operate between Seacombe and Woodside.
